There's plenty of confusion about CVR and its features and rules. The following is a set of common questions and their answers.

Adult Content

Is adult content allowed?

Yes, CVR explicitly allows adult content, as long as it is properly tagged and not made available to minors. Adult activities (like sex) is only permitted in private worlds (e.g. friends of friends, friends, group, everyone can invite, owner must invite). CVR is operated out of Germany, which forbids any grey areas and has strict requirements regarding verification. Are adult events allowed?

Yes, CVR allows adult events. The trick is to exclude minors. The Nowhere Bar has regular 18+ events and requires photo verification, for example. -- N3X15 (talk) 21:38, 21 December 2024 (UTC)

Reporting

What should I send when sending a report?

Only report someone if they're breaking a rule in the game. We can't do anything about actions people do off-platform, e.g. Discord (except our own official Discord guild), Twitter/X/Bluesky, email, etc.

Include video or screenshots of the activity in question, as well as what you saw. We recommend recording with Medal, Steam, or Shadowplay. You can also use OBS if you know how. We need actual evidence before we can act.

How do I report a security vulnerability?

Do you have a bug bounty?

Wow you guys stole The Black Cat and it looks like shit!

It was uploaded by the original creator during EAC, and hasn't been touched since. Because CVR has had several engine updates since then, it has lots of rendering issues and is marked by the game to use fallback shaders.

Another individual made the Purple Fox from scratch, and that's become CVR's de-facto take on the concept.
